The Experiment Begins

This is the beginning of an experiment. One of my goals with my trading has always been to be able to trade and travel. I have done small trips before and maintained position. However the objective with this trip is for me to pay for my travel with my trading without forcing trades. During this experiment I will share information about my trades as well as my travels. If you are interested in only one of the two pieces of info disregard the other.

Trading – I don’t have any open positions and didn’t trade today so I am in the loosing column for now.

Travel – today was the first day of the trip with the UP of Michigan my destination. I haven’t been as organized as normal with this trip so my start was later than I would have wished. I normally have everything ready days in advanced. I was still deciding what to pack this morning. Monica even accused me of not wanting to take the trip since I was so not ready. I still made good progress with the beautiful weather.

I intended to insert the only picture I took today however I am unable to import it from the memory card to my laptop, maybe tomorrow.

As I drove through Kentucky and Indiana I was taken by the motorcycle riders without helmets. Each time I saw them during the day I had to take a second look.

It was a productive day with only 1 miss turn in Indy where I went around the west side of the city instead of the east side. One stop to check the maps and I was off again. I did purchase GPS prior to my departure but I haven’t determined how it is best going to help me yet. I was great tonight in finding a hotel but it sure was useless in finding my way around downtown Indy. I’m sure it the user and not the equipment.

One other interesting site was a barn with a horse in the roof shingles. I didn't stop for a picture but this was the first time I had seen an image actually depicted in the shingles like a mosaic. One other general observation northern Indiana was much prettier than I expected. I don't believe I have traveled this area by car before and it is very picturesque.

I also realized how much I enjoy traveling by car. I imagine that is from my childhood where Mom and Dad loaded us up into the car for those all day trips to Florida mostly.

Well off to bed for some sleep and I need to create a travel game plan for tomorrow sometime before checkout!
